Laila Youssef

Research Assistant, J-PAL Europe
Laïla Youssef is a Research Assistant at J-PAL Europe, where she contributes to the Lalilo Project, a digital learning tool designed to support first-grade students in developing reading skills, with a focus on those from socially disadvantaged backgrounds.
Before joining J-PAL in 2025, Laïla worked as a Research Assistant at Eval-Lab, where she was involved in impact evaluations of educational programs. She holds a Master's degree in International Economics from Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University and undergraduate degrees in Economics from both Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and Cairo University.
