Tarun Timalsina is a Policy Associate at J-PAL Global, where he works with the Political Economy and Governance (PEG) and Crime, Violence, and Conflict (CVC) sectors. In this role, he synthesizes evidence to write policy publications and helps develop research partnerships. Tarun also supports the Governance, Crime, and Conflict Initiative (GCCI).
Before joining J-PAL, Tarun worked as a consultant for Industrial Economics Inc., where he provided analytical support and informed expert opinion in the assessment of economic damages resulting from injuries to natural resources. Tarun holds a Bachelor of Arts from Harvard University with a concentration in economics.
