Our affiliated professors are based at over 120 universities and conduct randomized evaluations around the world to design, evaluate, and improve programs and policies aimed at reducing poverty. They set their own research agendas, raise funds to support their evaluations, and work with J-PAL staff on research, policy outreach, and training.
Training Associate, J-PAL South Asia
Ishwari Sonawane is a Training Associate at J-PAL South Asia where she works to support building capacity for evidence-based policymaking and monitoring and evaluation. Prior to joining J-PAL, Ishwari completed her Bachelors of Arts in Economics from St. Xavier's College, Mumbai. She has worked with CSBC, Niti Aayog as a fellow in the Behavioural Insights in Policy Fellowship. She has also been a student representative from India for the South Asian Economic Student Meet.
