Denisse Ramírez
Senior Policy Associate, J-PAL Latin America and the Caribbean
Denisse Ramírez is a Senior Policy Associate at J-PAL LAC, where she works on a project titled “Gender, Indigenous People, Afro-Descendants, and Climate Change: Existing Evidence and Avenues for Future Research,” a study for the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB). She is involved in reviewing rigorous evidence and lessons on the intersection of these topics and identifying open questions relevant to Latin America and the Caribbean.
Prior to joining J-PAL in 2024, Denisse worked as a research assistant on gender-related topics at the University of Chile and contributed to research on tax progressivity and inequality reduction at Fundación Rumbo Colectivo.
She holds a BSc in economics from the University of Chile and is currently in the thesis stage of her MA in economic analysis at the same university.
