Our affiliated professors are based at over 120 universities and conduct randomized evaluations around the world to design, evaluate, and improve programs and policies aimed at reducing poverty. They set their own research agendas, raise funds to support their evaluations, and work with J-PAL staff on research, policy outreach, and training.

Policy Associate, J-PAL South Asia
Sushant works as a Policy Associate for the Math Games Scale-up Project in the Indian state of Maharashtra. His responsibilities include leading the training of selected master trainers, supporting data collection activities in the field, project documentation, govt and NGO stakeholder management. He also supports the redesign of the Math Games teacher manuals and teacher training materials.
Sushant has completed his MSc in mathematics from Mumbai University. He has cleared the State Eligibility Test for Assistant Professorship (SET) exam for Maharashtra and Goa, India. He worked as a mathematics and teacher educator at IISER, worked with the mat education research group of HBCSE - TIFR, and taught high-school mathematics.
Sushant's interests include educational research, teacher education, students' perspectives on learning mathematics, and mathematics outreach.
