Our affiliated professors are based at over 120 universities and conduct randomized evaluations around the world to design, evaluate, and improve programs and policies aimed at reducing poverty. They set their own research agendas, raise funds to support their evaluations, and work with J-PAL staff on research, policy outreach, and training.

Senior Finance & Operations Associate, J-PAL Global
Abisola Okuk is a Senior Finance & Operations Associate at J-PAL Global. In this role, Abisola serves as the financial and operational lead for a portfolio of up to three initiatives, including the Jobs and Opportunities Initiative (JOI), the Innovation in Government Initiative (IGI), and J-PAL's partnership with Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance (GAVI). She ensures efficiency at J-PAL Global's business operations focusing on management of grants, supporting projects, and overseeing financial reports and analysis.
Prior to joining J-PAL in 2025, Abisola worked in a number of positions at MIT, making her a seasoned finance professional, with capacity to make recommendations and drive organizational excellence. She also worked in Nigeria where she supported young people by encouraging leadership, building community, and promoting growth.
Abisola holds a Bachelor's in Educational Administration from The University of Lagos, Nigeria.
