Our affiliated professors are based at over 120 universities and conduct randomized evaluations around the world to design, evaluate, and improve programs and policies aimed at reducing poverty. They set their own research agendas, raise funds to support their evaluations, and work with J-PAL staff on research, policy outreach, and training.

Policy Manager, J-PAL Africa
Bertrand Ntwali is a Policy Manager at J-PAL Africa, where he works closely with national public health institutions to adapt, pilot, and scale evidence-based programs to improve access to clean water.
Bertrand has extensive experience in public health programs, including program implementation, research, impact assessment, and policy recommendations aimed at strengthening health systems. He holds a Master of Science in Global Health Delivery, specializing in health management, from the University of Global Health Equity.
