Akshita Nigania

Akshita is a Senior Research Associate at J-PAL South Asia where she is a part of the Emission Trading Scheme (ETS) Project which aims to implement and evaluate an emission trading market for particulate matter. Before joining J-PAL South Asia, she worked as a Research Associate at the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) where she co-authored three research papers focusing on household financial vulnerability and the COVID-19 pandemic in India, and the effects of banking regulations on banks’ credit portfolio.

Akshita holds a BSc. in Economics from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai and a Master’s degree in Economics from the University of Warwick.
