Aditi Namdeo
Director - Strategic Initiatives, J-PAL South Asia
Aditi comes with extensive public-private partnerships, technology policy, innovation and consulting experience of around two decades spread across the globe notably in Europe, the US, and Australia working at leaderships positions with organizations such as the World Economic Forum (WEF) and PwC.
As the Director - Strategic Initiatives, Aditi is leading the Capacity Accelerator Network (CAN) to unlock the data use potential for social impact in India, launched recently with data.org and university partners, Ashoka University, BITS (Pilani and Goa), and IIIT-Delhi, along with leading the set up of the Air and Water Labs Initiative within J-PAL South Asia to generate evidence and embed solutions to improve air and water policy in SA. The role involves creating, executing and driving these strategic initiatives through supporting growth in policy and strategic partnerships with governments, private sector entities, foundations, HNWIs and emerging partners in the field of technology and industry. Aditi has joined the J-PAL’s senior management team, to work alongside the core team of Associate Directors and Directors to support the development and growth of the SA office through fundraising and new partnership development.
Before joining JPAL, Aditi was the Chief Partnerships Officer (CPO) of Reserve Bank of India’s Innovation Hub. As the CPO of RBIH, Aditi was responsible for curating programs and building partnership ecosystems & alliances promulgating RBIH’s initiatives nationally and internationally with academia, businesses, start-ups, civil society and policy & regulatory bodies.
During her stint at WEF, Aditi played several leadership roles such as Head of Strategic Partnerships (GI) in Geneva and then as Head of Operations and Business Engagement in C4IR India, helping set up the Centre for Fourth Industrial Revolution India office.
She was also instrumental in expanding Forum’s Global Innovator program in India with the start-up ecosystem. At PwC, Aditi led large business transformation programs in India and Denmark and was one of the founding members of PwC Denmark’s finance effectiveness practice. She was a global trainer on consulting courses with the PwC Advisory University. Previously, Aditi has served with marquee tech organizations such as Tech Mahindra (as Global Leadership Cadre) and Cognizant Technology Solutions.
Aditi is an ambassador for women-led tech NGOs and communities championing the innovation agenda for women. She has authored papers and been on panels on Innovation and tech agenda through her corporate and academic pursuits. Aditi holds an engineering degree in Computer Science, MBA from IIT Kharagpur, and a master’s in Public Policy from LSE and Diploma in Artificial Intelligence from Oxford University, Saïd Business School.
