Mahreen Mahmud is a senior lecturer in economics at the University of Exeter Business School. Her research focuses on evaluating the impact of social protection programs on household welfare and interventions aimed at enhancing women's economic participation and empowerment using field experiments in Sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia. She received her PhD in economics from the University of Kent.
