Marina Maged
Research Associate, J-PAL Middle East and North Africa
Marina Maged is a Research Associate at J-PAL Middle East and North Africa where she works on measuring the effectiveness of different type of microfinance products for businesses in Egypt and the reasons behind the varying levels of acceptance of female volunteering and female employment among men, women, and their family members.
Prior to joining J-PAL, she participated in a research competition organized by International Organization for Migration and the Migration Research Unit at Cairo University, where she won second place for her research project titled "The impact of remittances on foreign exchange reserves, and the role of digital remittances".
Marina holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the Faculty of Economics and Political Science, Cairo University.
