Ignacio Lepe
Senior Associate, J-PAL Latin America and the Caribbean
Ignacio Lepe is a Senior Research Associate at J-PAL LAC, where he works on education projects, analyzing data related to research and fieldwork. He is currently responsible for data analysis for the research project "Daycare Deserts," funded by Yale University, which aims to track early childhood establishments in Chile, Colombia, and the Dominican Republic.
Before joining J-PAL, Ignacio participated as a data scientist at the nonprofit organization ConsiliumBots, where he contributed to the implementation, analysis, and research of the School Admission System in Chile.
Ignacio holds a degree in Commercial Engineering and is a candidate for a Master's in Economics, both from the University of Chile. He has research experience in labor economics, economics of education, and empirical market design.
