Our affiliated professors are based at over 120 universities and conduct randomized evaluations around the world to design, evaluate, and improve programs and policies aimed at reducing poverty. They set their own research agendas, raise funds to support their evaluations, and work with J-PAL staff on research, policy outreach, and training.

Research Associate, J-PAL Middle East and North Africa
Malak Koura is a Research Associate at J-PAL MENA based at the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development under the Egypt Impact Lab, where she supports the Social Protection and Education sectors. Prior to joining J-PAL in June 2023, she was a Senior Data Science Executive at NielsenIQ. Malak holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Statistics from Cairo University.
