Saroj Karan
Project Associate, J-PAL South Asia
Saroj Karan is currently working as a Project Associate at J-PAL South Asia in the ‘Gender Norms in Marriage and Labour Productivity’ Project. He has also previously worked with J-PAL South Asia in multiple projects in the Labour Markets sector in 2014 to 2020.
Prior to J-PAL, he has worked as a State Coordinator for the, ‘Odisha Consumer Welfare for Consumer Protection & Rights in Odisha’ project. He has worked at the Civil Society Organisations in West Bengal for WASH for Persons with Disability, Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR), Livelihood Training to SHGs and has in depth understanding of government structures as well as strong advocacy skill for project implementation.
Saroj has completed his Masters of Social Work (MSW) from Utkal University of Culture, Odisha, specializing in Family & Child Welfare, Community Development – Rural & Urban.
