A. Nilesh Fernando is an assistant professor in the Department of Economics and the Keough School of Global Affairs at the University of Notre Dame. His research focuses on understanding frictions in labor markets and the agricultural sector in the developing world, with projects relating to migration, culture, structural change, and technology adoption. Prior to joining Notre Dame, Nilesh was a postdoctoral fellow at Harvard University in the Department of Economics. He received his PhD in public policy from Harvard University.
