Our affiliated professors are based at over 120 universities and conduct randomized evaluations around the world to design, evaluate, and improve programs and policies aimed at reducing poverty. They set their own research agendas, raise funds to support their evaluations, and work with J-PAL staff on research, policy outreach, and training.
Our research, policy, and training work is fundamentally better when it is informed by a broad range of perspectives.
Postdoctoral Fellow, J-PAL Middle East and North Africa
Yasmine Elkhateeb is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at J-PAL Middle East and North Africa. She is also an Assistant Lecturer of Economics at the Faculty of Economics and Political Science at Cairo University and a Short-Term Consultant to the Office of the Chief Economist for the MENA region at the World Bank. Her research interests include Development Economics, Gender Economics, Migration Economics, and Political Economy.
Prior to joining J-PAL in 2024, she was a Teaching and Research Fellow at the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne.
Yasmine holds a PhD degree in Economics and a Master's degree in Development Economics from the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Economics from both Cairo University and Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University.
