Sophie de Rouilhan is a Policy and Communication Associate at J-PAL Europe for the Innovation, Data and Experiments in Education (IDEE) program. IDEE is an 8-year government-funded initiative aimed at supporting the development of experimental research in education in France.

Prior to joining J-PAL in 2025, she worked as a research assistant and as a project manager at the Institut Jean Nicod, a multidisciplinary research laboratory affiliated to the Ecole Normale Supérieure (ENS) and the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales (EHESS). Prior to that, she interned in the behavioral science unit of the Interministerial Directorate for Public Transformation (DITP) in Paris. 

Sophie holds a master’s degree in cognitive science from the EHESS, a master’s degree in public policy from Sciences Po Paris, and a bachelor’s degree in modern literature from Sorbonne Université.
