Junia Barbosa
Policy Associate, J-PAL Latin America and the Caribbean
Junia Neves is a Research and Training Associate at J-PAL LAC, where she is dedicated to supporting local governments in formulating public policies based on rigorous evidence.
Before joining J-PAL in April 2024, she was a research assistant at the Stanford University Graduate School of Education (GSE), where she assisted in the creation and implementation of the first longitudinal sample of educational data in Brazil and conducted studies on the effect of public policies on the recomposition of learning after the COVID-19 pandemic. She has also worked as an Econometrics tutor for Master's and PhD students.
Junia is a PhD student and holds a Master's degree in Economics from the Federal University of Pernambuco. She is interested in Gender, Health, Education and Development.
