Webinar for African Applicants to Economics PhD programs in North America: Application Form

J-PAL Africa is holding a webinar for African students who plan to apply to Economics PhD programs in the US or Canada this Fall. We will have admissions officers from the PhD programs of about 10 schools including University of Virginia, MIT, University of Minnesota, University of Michigan, University of Houston, Tufts University, Northwestern University, University of Illinois, University of Toronto and McGill University. The webinar will involve a panel discussion covering the most common questions around pursuing a PhD in North America, followed by break-out sessions where participants will have a chance to ask questions directly to faculty. We will also send out an information pack containing some of the key details about pursuing a PhD at each school.

Applications close on Wednesday, 13 October 2021, at 5pm EST. Selection of participants will be made by 20 October 2021.
