In the spirit of celebrating J-PAL’s 20th anniversary and J-PAL Southeast Asia’s (SEA) 10th anniversary,  J-PAL SEA is hosting a Gala Dinner on 18 July, 2023 to bring together the government partners, donors, academics, and private sector partners who have supported our work, alongside our staff and alumni. To date, J-PAL SEA has successfully conducted 28 randomized evaluations, informed nine national policy decisions, trained more than 1,500 participants from various organizations, and reached more than 100 million lives through programs and policies informed by J-PAL SEA evaluations. All of this wouldn’t be possible without the support of J-PAL, our affiliated researchers, and our long-time partners.

The gala dinner is a semi-formal event that will begin with a networking session, where attendees will have the opportunity to reconnect, strengthen, and build relationships with current and future partners alike. This will be followed by welcome remarks and two talk-show sessions with our partners and alumni. In the first session, we aim to understand how research organizations can better support the work of our partners. In the second session, alumni will share their experiences working at J-PAL SEA. This event will conclude with a dinner.
