Jordana De Jesus
Policy Associate, J-PAL Latin America and the Caribbean
Jordana de Jesus is a Policy and Research Associate at J-PAL LAC. She works in the "Expansion of Government Partnerships in Brazil - Social Protection" project, providing technical assistance in partnerships related to care and family policies and systems.
Prior to joining J-PAL in 2024, she served as the Coordinator of Care Policy at the National Secretariat for Economic Autonomy and Care Policy at the Ministry of Women. Since 2018, she has been a lecturer at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte, where she teaches Demography and Actuarial Sciences at the Center for Exact and Earth Sciences. She is a Permanent Member of the Graduate Program in Demography, where she co-coordinates the Gender and Population Studies Laboratory (Laegep). She is also the Coordinator of the "Population and Gender" Working Group at the Brazilian Population Association.
Jordana holds a PhD and a Master's degree in Demography from Cedeplar at the Federal University of Minas Gerais. Her research focuses on Intergenerational Care Transfers and Inequalities.
