Tessa Bold is a Professor of Development Economics at the Institute of International Economic Studies. Her research interests include government service provision, particularly in education; technology adoption and market access; risk sharing and insurance; and public health, especially in regards to the COVID-19 pandemic. She has experience conducting randomized evaluations in Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda. She received her PhD in Economics from Oxford University.
