Jason Kerwin is an Associate Professor in the Department of Economics at the University of Washington. He is a development economist, with research interests in health, education, labor, and financial inclusion. Jason’s research has covered topics ranging from behavioral responses to HIV risks are limited to how to improve literacy education in low-resource settings. He works primarily in Malawi and Uganda, and has recently begun doing research in India as well. Jason received his PhD in economics from the University of Michigan. He blogs about his research and about economics in general on his personal website.
Jason serves as a mentor to J-PAL regional scholars.
