Christopher Neilson is a Professor of Economics and Global Affairs at Yale University. He is an applied microeconomist and studies public policy and education markets. His recent research focuses on the impact of consumer knowledge and beliefs on choices and how policy interventions can generate shifts in consumer and provider behavior. He has studied student assignment mechanisms in New Haven, Connecticut, college major choice in Chile, school choice in Peru, and school dropout in the Dominican Republic. Christopher received his PhD from Yale University.
