Efficiency of Brave Aurora Girls Mentorship: An Educational, Social and Emotional Learning Intervention in Northern Ghana
The provision of academic, social, and emotional guidance to young girls is key to helping secure a bright future by ensuring informed decision-making. In this regard, the team partners with Braveaurora – an NGO to pilot the girl mentorship program which provides healthy development tips, and promotes self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, responsible decision-making, and strong relationship skills for young girls (age 9-17 years) in schools. The team in partnership with Braveaurora, will pilot the Braveaurora Girl Mentorship (BGM) program and subsequently collect data in randomly selected communities in northern Ghana. Consequently, the results from the pilot study will inform a full Random Control Trial (RCT) as Braveaurora institution agreed to support the team in the implementation of the program to evaluate the impact of Girls mentorship using societal norms and educational rules.
