Crisis Intervention Team (Fort Wayne, IN)

The Fort Wayne Police Department in the state of Indiana will work with J-PAL North America to design an evaluation on the impact of the Police Department’s Hope and Recovery Team on connecting people with severe mental health issues to treatment. Testing the support provided by the Hope and Recovery Team will allow the Fort Wayne Police Department to measure whether the intervention decreases police calls for service as well as non-fatal and fatal overdoses in Fort Wayne and identify opportunities for strengthening program delivery within the community.
