J-PAL South Asia Executive Education 2016, New Delhi

This five-day course provided participants a thorough understanding of impact evaluations and a pragmatic step-by-step guidance on conducting one’s own evaluation. It focused on evaluation methods and techniques and covered topics including M&E theory and practices, Evaluation design and Sampling Techniques. It also covered the importance of a needs assessment, measuring outcomes effectively, quality control, and monitoring—tools that are critical for impact evaluations.
The pedagogy included both theoretical and example-based classes, complemented by group exercises where participants applied key concepts to real world examples.
