Join J-PAL North America as we connect state and local climate leaders, government associations, and academic researchers from across the country to advance evidence for climate action. During our July convening, participants will share opportunities and develop strategies for researcher-government partnerships to promote rigorous evaluation of decarbonization and adaptation programs. The event will also mark the launch of a new multi-year effort, made possible through generous funding from a major donor. Participants will learn more about how this funding and resources will be leveraged at the event.

In collaboration with both new and long-standing partners, J-PAL North America is excited to celebrate the work already underway and to discuss the ongoing strategy for implementing randomized evaluations to effectively and equitably combat climate change in the years to come.

Throughout the day, convening participants will:

  • Discuss and define a coordinated agenda for research that can inform the implementation of climate policies and programs
  • Hear insights from current researcher-practitioner partnerships evaluating climate efforts
  • Strategize on methods to recruit and engage additional state and local partners in evidence building
  • Engage in a range of knowledge-sharing and networking opportunities
