Ana Marinato
Senior Research Associate, J-PAL Latinoamérica y el Caribe
Ana Carolina Marinato is a Senior Research Associate at J-PAL LAC where she works supporting the “Breaking the Bubble” project. The project encompasses several interventions aiming to study the effect of contact between people with diverse political opinions and racial backgrounds on political and racial discrimination in Brazil.
Prior to her role at J-PAL, Ana’s work has been in research, data analysis and public policy. At the Center for Learning on Evaluation and Results - Lusophone Africa and Brazil (CLEAR-LAB) she contributed to the assessment of the socioeconomic impact of the Fundão dam breach. She has also worked with Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA) in Paraguay, collaborating in two randomized evaluations for education policy.
Currently pursuing a master’s degree in public policy at Insper, Ana holds a BSc in Economics from Pontíficia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio) and a MicroMasters specialization in Data, Economics and Development Policy from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
