Priscila Costa

Priscila Costa is a Policy and Research Manager at J-PAL LAC where she manages the project “Strengthening learnings and child development in preschools”. This project aims to increase the effectiveness of early childhood education and public policies, specifically, those directed to preschool education in Brazil in Bahia, Mato Grosso do Sul, and Sao Paulo. She is in charge of working with state and municipal government agencies, with J-PAL researchers, with a multidisciplinary group of education experts and with the J-PAL Global Education sector. Prior to joining J-PAL in 2024, she worked at Núcleo Ciência Pela Infância as a Research and Innovation Leader. She also served as a Professor at the School of Nursing at Federal University of São Paulo.

Priscila holds a PhD and a Master in Health Sciences from University of São Paulo, and she was also a visiting scholar at Duke University. She has a Bachelor in Nursing from University of São Paulo.
