Raquel Caldeira
Senior Policy Associate, J-PAL África
Raquel Caldeira is a Senior Policy Associate at J-PAL Africa, working on the African Scholars Program for the Digital Agricultural Innovations and Services Initiative (DAISI) and the Learning for All Initiative (LAI). She also works closely with J-PAL Africa’s Education and Training team.
In her previous role, Raquel worked as a Research Associate for J-PAL Africa, where she focused mainly on studies aimed at addressing the high rates of youth unemployment in South Africa. In this role she gained experience working with large NGOs, who focused on addressing youth unemployment in South Africa.
Raquel holds a Master’s Degree in Applied Behavioural Economics from Tilburg University and an Honours degree in Economics from Stellenbosch University.
