Isaak Kifle
Human Resources Manager, J-PAL North America
Isaak Kifle is the Human Resources Manager at J-PAL North America. In this role, he manages a broad range of human resources activities for the North America office, including recruitment, onboarding/offboarding, performance management, rewards/recognition and HR administration. Additionally, he supports the leadership team with workforce planning and advises J-PAL North America’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) work. Isaak was previously the project manager for J-PAL NA’s EngageDEI initiative; during this time, the DEI working group received the 2020 MIT Excellence Award for Advancing Inclusion and Global Perspectives.
Prior to joining J-PAL in 2019, Isaak worked at Partners In Health, where he managed HR operations and projects for the international NGO’s U.S. and expatriate employees. During graduate school, he also served as a Net Impact Board Fellow, supporting a pedestrian advocacy organization with the research and development of a diversity recruitment plan for their board of directors.
Isaak holds an MA in organizational psychology with a concentration in talent management from William James College, and a BA in psychology from the University of New Haven. Additionally, he holds the SHRM-CP and PHR certifications, and completed the Institute for Nonprofit Practice’s Community Fellows program.
