Abhinaya is a Research Support Assistant, currently working on the project, ‘Identifying and nurturing Math Talent at Scale: An experiment with AoPS self-paced classes in Tamil Nadu’ led by Esther Duflo, Paolo Adajar, Glenn Ellison, Sara Ellison, Harini Kannan.
Abhinaya has one year of experience in impact evaluations around key policy areas like development, political economy, gender, labor, health, and climate. As part of her independent research projects, she has developed evaluation frameworks, defined key indicators and methodologies for assessing policy outcomes using her rigorous analytical skills. Among other PhD students, her field experiment proposal won the prestigious ‘High Commendation’ prize at the Student Research Festival organized at Bristol, England, UK. She has also published a research article titled, ‘Rural India Governance: Impact on Socio-Economic Development’ in the International Journal of Engineering Research and Management in her early undergraduate years of study.
Abhinaya holds a master’s degree in economics with a specialization in applied microeconometrics at the University of Bristol, UK.
