Our affiliated professors are based at over 120 universities and conduct randomized evaluations around the world to design, evaluate, and improve programs and policies aimed at reducing poverty. They set their own research agendas, raise funds to support their evaluations, and work with J-PAL staff on research, policy outreach, and training.

Senior Policy and Research Associate, J-PAL North America
Kate Christie is a Senior Policy and Research Associate at J-PAL North America. Kate supports the policy and research teams in providing technical assistance and research management support to implementing partners and funded research projects. She also supports the Communications team and Homelessness and Housing Stability team.
Kate holds a BA from Dartmouth College where she studied quantitative social sciences with a concentration in education. During her undergraduate studies, she worked as a Research Assistant in the Department of Quantitative Social Sciences supporting various education and public policy projects.
