Alfredo Burlando is an associate professor in the department of economics at the University of Oregon. His current research in sub-Saharan Africa employs randomized evaluations to study the impacts of financial inclusion, including savings groups, digital forms of credit and payments, and microfinance. A particular focus of his work continues to be the inclusion of vulnerable and marginalized populations. Alfredo received his PhD in economics from Boston University.
