William is Professor of Economics at Université Catholique de Louvain and Co-Chair of J-PAL's Research, Education, and Training vertical. He wrote his dissertation on the analysis of credit demand and the evaluation of policies improving access to credit in three countries: Serbia, Brazil and Morocco, where he worked before joining J-PAL in 2006. His current research focuses on access to credit, poverty, and health issues. He is currently working on several randomized evaluations in Morocco, Pakistan and France.
William serves as Co-Chair of the Research Education, and Training vertical at J-PAL. He has also lectured at J-PAL training events.
He holds a PhD from the University Paris, Sorbonne.
