Martin Abel is an Assistant Professor of Economics at Bowdoin College. His research interests are in development economics, labor economics, and behavioral economics. His current research focuses on the topics of information asymmetries and discrimination in labor markets. He has conducted evaluations aimed at improving employment prospects for youth and women in India, Mexico, South Africa and Saudi Arabia. Martin received his PhD in public policy from Harvard University.
Martin has served as a lecturer at J-PAL training events and as a mentor to J-PAL regional scholars.
