Florencia Devoto
Project Director, Morocco Employment Lab, J-PAL Middle East and North Africa
Florencia is the Project Director of the Morocco Employment Lab, based at Rabat, where she is responsible for developing the research agenda together with the Lab’s Scientific Directors, coordinating research activities and disseminating policy insights from research.
Florencia Devoto holds a PhD from the Paris School of Economics and an MPA/International Development from the Harvard Kennedy School. Since she joined J-PAL in 2006, she has been participating in several impact evaluations in Morocco in the areas of microcredit, education and access to water. Her current research focuses on access to microcredit, female labor force participation and education. Prior to joining J-PAL, Florencia worked as a research fellow at the Inter-American Development Bank where she helped evaluating the Oportunidades/Progresa program.
