Our affiliated professors are based at over 120 universities and conduct randomized evaluations around the world to design, evaluate, and improve programs and policies aimed at reducing poverty. They set their own research agendas, raise funds to support their evaluations, and work with J-PAL staff on research, policy outreach, and training.

Emanuele Colonnelli is a Professor of Finance and Entrepreneurship at The University of Chicago Booth School of Business. His research focuses on the intersection between finance and development, with a special interest in high-growth entrepreneurship and the interaction between governments, firms, and investors.
He received his PhD in Economics from Stanford University.
Emanuele serves as Co-Chair of J-PAL's Finance sector.
