Supraja Thrilochan Kumar

Supraja T Kumar is a Research Associate at J-PAL South Asia, where she supports a water conservation incentives project in partnership with the Department of Agriculture. With a background that bridges architecture and public policy, Supraja brings expertise in survey design, data analysis, and field implementation to J-PAL’s mission of promoting evidence-based solutions. She began her career as an architect focused on sustainable design before transitioning to public policy, earning her Master’s degree from the National Law School of India University, Bengaluru. Her previous experience includes research internship roles at WRI India, and the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, where she developed insights into climate finance, urban resilience, and environmental policy. Supraja’s interdisciplinary approach contributes to J-PAL’s work on climate and sustainability, integrating technical and policy expertise to address complex challenges.
