Sagar Swain

Sagar Chandra Swain is a Project Associate currently working on the PESO project since January 2025. Previously, he worked on the Payment Governance Research Program (DBT HFM) project in Bhubaneswar until December 2024.

With nearly a decade of experience at J-PAL South Asia (2015-2025), Sagar has contributed to various projects across sectors including Labor Market, Education, Agriculture, Finance, and Firms. His notable projects include OLM, CASTE, ILT, PADIF, SSRP, and DBT-HFM, all of which have played a crucial role in addressing socio-economic challenges in Odisha.

In addition to his work in Odisha, Sagar significantly contributed to the SBR project in Bhatinda, Punjab, further expanding his impact across regions and sectors.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from Utkal University, Vani Vihar, Bhubaneswar.
