Varshini Sridhar

Varshini is a Research Support Assistant at J-PAL South Asia, where she works on the ‘Outsourcing Property Tax Re-Assessments in the Greater Chennai Corporation’ project.

Prior to joining J-PAL in 2024, Varshini graduated with a Master of Public Administration degree from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs. During her time at Columbia, she interned with organisations such as the Busara Center for Behavioural Economics and Evidence Action. She also worked with the scale-ups team at J-PAL SA as a policy intern.

Prior to her master’s degree, Varshini worked as a Project Assistant at the Centre for Public Policy Research, where she assisted in conducting policy research and analysis, primarily in the areas of agriculture and food. She holds a BA in Economics, Political Science and Sociology from Christ (Deemed to be University).
