Nikita Singh is a Senior Research Associate at J-PAL South Asia, specializing in research on gender and labor markets. She has a wealth of experience managing research projects that focus on improving women’s labor force participation and addressing social issues like sexual harassment. In her previous roles as a Research Associate, she led the implementation of a randomized controlled trial aimed at increasing female employment, working closely with rural
communities and coordinating efforts to set up vocational training centers for women.
Nikita also contributed to a large-scale study on the prevalence of sexual harassment in public spaces, collaborating with leading academics from global institutions. She was responsible for
designing surveys, training field teams, and ensuring the safety and accuracy of the data collected. Her ability to manage complex field operations and her hands-on approach in both urban and rural settings have been key to the success of these projects.
Nikita holds a Master's degree in Development Studies from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Hyderabad, and a Bachelor's degree in Statistics from Aligarh Muslim University. Her skill set includes data analysis, impact evaluation, and project implementation.
