Research Associate, J-PAL South Asia
Trishna Saikia is a Research Associate at J-PAL South Asia. She is working on evaluating the happiness curriculum implemented by the Labhya Foundation in schools in Tripura.
Trishna holds a Master’s degree in Development Studies from Ambedkar University, Delhi. During her Master’s, she worked on a dissertation which aimed at exploring women’s agency and bargaining power within households vis-à-vis their employment. She has previously worked with Prabha Kotiswaran and the Tata Institute of Social Sciences on projects intended towards addressing women’s unpaid care work and gender-based violence, respectively. She is interested in gender, public policy, sociology of development and rights-based advocacy.
