Our affiliated professors are based at over 120 universities and conduct randomized evaluations around the world to design, evaluate, and improve programs and policies aimed at reducing poverty. They set their own research agendas, raise funds to support their evaluations, and work with J-PAL staff on research, policy outreach, and training.

Senior Finance and Operations Associate
Hamza Rkaina is a Senior Finance & Operations Associate at the UM6P J-PAL Agriculture Lab for Africa (UJALA), where he manages the financial and operational aspects of funded projects within the UJALA lab. He oversees budget management, financial reporting to donors, and the efficient execution of operational protocols.
Before joining J-PAL, Hamza gained extensive experience in managing impactful projects with various organizations. He contributed to TASHAROC (DAI), FORSATY (IOM), and ISED-MS (Deloitte), developing his expertise in financial management, operational coordination, and cross-organizational collaboration. UJALA marks his fourth project, where he continues to drive meaningful contributions through his solution-oriented approach and team-centric mindset.
Hamza holds a degree from the American Business School in Paris, where he majored in International Business with a minor in Finance and Marketing Management.
