Our affiliated professors are based at over 120 universities and conduct randomized evaluations around the world to design, evaluate, and improve programs and policies aimed at reducing poverty. They set their own research agendas, raise funds to support their evaluations, and work with J-PAL staff on research, policy outreach, and training.

Research Manager, J-PAL South Asia
Sharvari Ravishankar is a Research Manager at J-PAL South Asia in the Behavioral Development Lab (BDL) in Chennai. She manages studies spanning sectors such as Health, Mental Health, Labor Markets and Education. She is currently based out of Bangalore.
Prior to this, she has worked as a Research Associate for the Migration and Technology project in Bangalore, aiming to see the effects of information provision to jobseekers on labor market outcomes.
Sharvari holds a Master's degree in Economics from Ashoka University and a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Ramjas College, University of Delhi.
