Pritham Raja
AI Lead, J-PAL Global
Pritham Raja is AI lead at J-PAL Global where he works in collaboration with the MIT College of Computing to manage a joint AI strategy that builds and evaluates AI tools and AI enabled programs for global development.
Prior to joining J-PAL in 2024, Pritham led the Technology and Government Engagement verticals at Jan Sahas, one of India’s largest grassroots nonprofits. Earlier, he worked on the strategy and build team at the Global Development Incubator’s India office, and prior to that, he worked as a strategy consultant with Dalberg Advisors, working on projects for Multilaterals, Governments, and Non-Profit clients across topics such as livelihood, gender, education, energy-access, and financial inclusion in East Africa, South Asia, and Southeast Asia. Pritham started his social sector journey by launching and running an anti-trafficking nonprofit. Previously, he worked as a technology consultant.
Pritham holds a Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Master of Applied Science in Data, Economics, and Design of Policy from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
