Our affiliated professors are based at over 120 universities and conduct randomized evaluations around the world to design, evaluate, and improve programs and policies aimed at reducing poverty. They set their own research agendas, raise funds to support their evaluations, and work with J-PAL staff on research, policy outreach, and training.

Research Associate, J-PAL South Asia
Mithin Nehrubabu is a Research Associate working in the Social Networks Lab at Bangalore. He completed his Bachelor’s in Mathematics at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign before making a career switch into economics.
He has worked on multiple research projects involving behavioural studies and health economics. At J-PAL, Mithin works to understand the usage of digital currency in rural India.
