Our affiliated professors are based at over 120 universities and conduct randomized evaluations around the world to design, evaluate, and improve programs and policies aimed at reducing poverty. They set their own research agendas, raise funds to support their evaluations, and work with J-PAL staff on research, policy outreach, and training.

Research Manager, J-PAL South Asia
Nitin is a Research Manager at the Behavioral Development Lab. He currently works on a project involving randomized evaluation of incentives to take-up mental health care among the youth in Chennai, India. He has previously worked on projects involving gender and mental health. Nitin has about 4 years of experience in Development Economics and Data Analytics. Nitin has previously worked with renowned organizations such as The World Bank and Nathan Economics Consulting.
Nitin has a master’s degree in Economics from the University of Warwick, UK with a specialization in Behavioral and Experimental Economics. He has experience in data analytics using Stata, Python, R, Tableau and MS Excel. He is UGC NET qualified in Economics.
