Tarun Jain is an Associate Professor of Economics at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad. He also currently holds the position of Reserve Bank of India Chair in Finance and Economics at IIM Ahmedabad. Jain’s research focuses on understanding causes and consequences of human capital formation, especially in the context of fast-growing developing countries.
Tarun serves as a mentor to J-PAL regional scholars.
He received his PhD in economics from the University of Virginia.
